Spring 2017 Meeting Time: Fridays 5:00 PM in BLB060

We are a group of students at the University of North Texas in Denton. We focus on educating ourselves and others about the four fields of anthropology, and how they are relevant to our daily lives.
We spend our time giving back to our community (on and off campus), holding events for fellow students, and exploring new ways to have fun.

If you're at UNT, feel free to come hangout! All Anthro majors, minors, and enthusiasts are welcome. :)

A Good Day to Die film showing Nov 6

ASA is co-sponsoring the film screening, A Good Day to Die. (Above is the trailer to A Good Day to Die. )
In 1968 the abused, neglected and repressed American-Indian people fought back. From the depths of despair Dennis Banks, co-founder of the American Indian Movement (AIM), led his people into confrontation with the government and changed their lives forever. A stirring account of the forgotten Indian civil rights movement, this documentary recounts not only the struggle but also depicts the terrible repression they endured.

Tuesday, November 6 at 6 pm in Chilton 111C.

NOTE: This will replace the regularly scheduled meeting.
