Spring 2017 Meeting Time: Fridays 5:00 PM in BLB060

We are a group of students at the University of North Texas in Denton. We focus on educating ourselves and others about the four fields of anthropology, and how they are relevant to our daily lives.
We spend our time giving back to our community (on and off campus), holding events for fellow students, and exploring new ways to have fun.

If you're at UNT, feel free to come hangout! All Anthro majors, minors, and enthusiasts are welcome. :)
Feel free to email us with any comments or questions - anthropeopleunt@gmail.com

Adopt-a-Block:

Our first Adopt-a-Block of the semester will be this Tuesday, September 23rd 5:00 PM. Our site is the UNT soccer fields near Victory Hall. Meet us at Big-Mike's to carpool, or meet us by the fields. Help us keep Denton and UNT beautiful!

We provide trash bags and gloves, just remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy in. Our site is usually really clean, but better safe than sorry.

Carpool to Fiesta Latinoamericana!:

Free music, dancing, parade, art showings, and more. Fiesta Latinoamericana will be in Klyde Warren Park, Dallas, TX. This event is free, so why not go.. and why not go with other anthros? To carpool with us, sign up on FB or email anthropeopleunt.gmail.com. If you signed up and can non longer make it, please let us know ASAP.

ASA Meditates:

This Thursday, ASA will be attending a FREE meditation workshop in place of the regular meeting. Join us in front of Chestnut Hall at 3:15 PM to de-stress. At 5:00 PM, Amy will give us a brief history of meditation and will lead a discussion on how meditation relates to anthropology. This will be in Lang 319 unless we can find a room in Chestnut. Check the FB page for up-to-date details.
